What Makes a Belt Comfortable?

Simply put, not all belts are comfortable. There are many different types of belts, and comfort really comes down to the type of leather used and the belt's construction. For example, a leather belt may be crafted from full grain, top-grain, genuine, or bonded leather. To learn more about the different types of leather, click here. In short, full grain leather is the highest quality, taken from the top layer of the hide. Top-grain leather is the second layer. Genuine leather is from the lower layers of the hide. Bonded leather is made from scraps of leather bonded with adhesive.

The most common leather used is genuine leather. In fact, when I started working on these men’s automatic belts, I tested genuine leather belts because that's what most belt sellers currently offer. I was immediately disappointed with the quality, as with all the other genuine leather belts that I used growing up. The genuine leather belt, while containing leather, was wrapped in a synthetic layer to mimic the real thing. It felt like a mix of rubber and plastic and was very stiff. As you can imagine, it was quite uncomfortable to wear. I wanted to offer a leather belt that you would enjoy wearing, so I researched a better type of leather. After testing different leather types and textures, I'm happy to say I chose to move forward with manufacturing full grain leather belt straps. I knew it would cost more, but I was only willing to deliver the best quality men’s automatic belt to my customers.

The men's automatic belt that I offer is crafted from full grain leather with a pebble texture. The full grain leather belt strap is very lightweight, flexible, and has a "buttery" smooth touch. The lightweight design ensures that you don't have to worry about feeling weight hanging on your waist. The flexibility of the leather belt strap is intended to wrap nicely around your waist. Also, the "buttery" smooth full grain leather is a testament to our quality, ensuring a comfortable contact between your leather belt strap and your waist.

In conclusion, not all belts are comfortable, but I can assure you that our men’s automatic belts are crafted with comfort as our priority.
